Jeffery Adler is the founder and CEO of Dlush, a youth-market drink and treat concept. He has held the position for twelve years. The retail chain has outlets in San Diego, Los Angeles, Kuwait, and Qatar. Recent expansion initiatives include a new branch at the Rock Church in San Diego, and a Dlush flagship location inside the Price Center at the University of California San Diego. Prior to Dlush, Jeffery worked as a retail consultant to executives of leading retail chains in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.

 

Jeffery is noted for his category-defining innovations in the F&B space. In 2009 he was recognized Top 50 People to Watch, by San Diego Magazine. He has a deep passion for the F&B space, and his mission is to build a company home to San Diego that can inspire young people to fearlessly pursue their dreams. Dlush has been featured in a variety of publications and television programs, including Weeds (Showtime Network), Entrepreneur Magazine, Fast Company, Inc. Magazine, Chain Store Age, Nation’s Restaurant News and CNN.

 

Jeffery is a graduate of Georgetown Law where he received his juris doctorate in international law, and University of Maryland, College Park where he graduated summa cum laude as the University’s valedictorian and graduation speaker at Cole Field House. Jeffery guest speaks at schools and industry conference on topics of entrepreneurism and social change. He is committed to supporting local youth-based causes through fundraising, philanthropy and awareness-raising campaigns.

 

Jeffery spoke at TEDx SDSU in May 2013. His talk, You are the Creator of Your Own Movie, shares his battle-tested journey as a fledgling entrepreneur who discovers that being the cause (not the effect) in every single action creates the certainty of mind and heart essential to overcoming obstacles.
