EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate at the University of San Diego
As the executive director of the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate (BMC), Stath Karras is responsible for establishing and leveraging strategic priorities and initiatives for the Center to advance its mission to recruit, educate and mentor real estate students with the goal of facilitating their career pursuits within the industry. Prior to this position, Karras spent seven years as an executive managing director with Cushman & Wakefield, and he was involved with executive management, business development, receiverships and operations throughout the Southern California region. He also spent 19 years at Burnham Real Estate Services as president and chief executive officer. Karras is currently the chairman of the board of CONNECT; is a past chairman of the board of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation and currently serves on the executive committee of the board of directors; he is secretary of the executive committee of LEAD San Diego; is chairman of the compensation and governance committees of the board of directors for the Challenged Athletes Foundation; and sits on the board of directors for the H.G. Fenton Company. He also serves as an advisor to four technology companies.
